31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
In the letter Paul wrote to the Romans he says in 11:11 that the gospel came to the gentiles in order that we might provoke Israel to jealousy...how?
Earlier in his letter he has told us that gentiles who had never studied the law of Moses but had placed faith in Messiah where showing the Spirit had written that law in their hearts in that by their nature they were doing the things written contained in the law.
Is the modern gentile church doing what Paul says we should be...so what has happened?
We left Judaism...not rabbinic Judaism but true Judaism...rabbinic is an alteration that came after the temple was destroyed...Messiah is the living temple of YHWH for the disciples of the way. Judaism as I understand the writings of Moses and the prophets needs both a tabernacle/temple and blood sacrifice. Yet that is not my concern...I do not judge those without.
These things are required understanding for those who say they live in new covenant.
1) the new covenant is with Israel we gentiles are adopted in like Ruth...As our Lord told a gentile woman it is not correct to give the children's bread to dogs...but as Paul points out he is God of the gentiles too...but sir keep your Noadic laws I need a covenant that has a promised redeemer...no replacement making God a liar...no two covenant making Yeshua a liar.
2)in the new no one has to say know God...why...because we have his Spirit abiding in us..his law written on our heart and mind (which seems silly if he did away with the law) we do not teach that one may know..the Spirit of truth leads into all truth...instead we strengthen and encourage the faith of our brethren. As Habakkuk has said the just shall live by faith...now I remember Moses saying he had set before us the way of life...and Yeshua said he came that we might have life and life more abundant. So as both Paul and James have told us...if we trust in only what we believe or what we do we will find ourselves as having no life ..separated ..alone...but if we rely and trust on the same life and Spirit of YHWH that lived in Messiah to live in us and that the old man received from Adam to die in his alter...then YHWH works his works through us showing the truth of our faith(of which he is author and finisher.
3)that the old is not done away and replaced...Yeshua is the word made flesh...the things Moses wrote where spoken to him by YHWH so he is that word made flesh....do not think I destroy the law...not one jot or Tiddle will pass away....I come to fulfill(to give full weight)...by grace(gift of Spirit)through faith(trust and reliance)
the flesh from Adam can never keep the law...but your flesh is crucified with Messiah and His Spirit is making alive your body if you have trusted in him...Paul says it is no longer I that live but Christ in me...but Christ does not sin...sin is the result of trust in self....
do you want to provoke Israel to jealousy...you should; our glorification comes after their acceptance...Trust in Him to will and do in and through you
