23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
There has always been a great power in words. By words men have been inspired and suppressed for as long as there has been history. This breath shaped into sound or written on a page can be used to communicate all that we are to others; so it is that the greatest author of all time, YHWH, has communicated himself to us.
While words have retained their great power; it seems to me language has lost much. Why, because the modern language is about sounds represented by letters. The true power of a word is in the image it creates in our mind; this is the true communication. Our modern letters are used to represent sounds, but at a time they represented symbols and before that they were pictures linked together to form a word. The conclusion of these things; words are pictures. Hence our modern saying "can you see what I'm saying?"
The purpose of my musing about these things is that when we look at the living masterpiece of YHWH's the image of the words can show us things we may well have passed over otherwise.
If we remember that Yashua has said of Moses that the things he wrote testified of Him and that the Holy Spirit has told us that we have been made partakers of the promises made to Abraham; then as the land was promised to be possessed by the flesh of Isaac and the promise that YHWH himself would be Abraham's reward through the promised redeemer (of which we have received the life of YHWH dwelling in our earthen vessels). Then I put forth that the record of the way that Israel possessed the land is a lesson of how we will posses the manifestation of the life in us.
This brings me to my text and my desire that by understanding the lessons of the words used; we may see what Yashua is doing within ourselves.
For my angel shall go before thee...the word angle at its root is the picture of a kings messenger or ambassador. The same picture would latter be used of Yashua as the apostle of our faith.
The word at the root of before thee we can see that it is looking at the face; showing he sees us and knows who we are thereby knowing our needs.
and bring thee in...it is our Messiah that brings us face to face with all things that would oppose us from possessing the life he has given.
Amorite- publicity prominence (take away our seeking of recognition from men)
Hittite-confusion and fear (take away our doubt of Him and what he has promised as being true and guaranteed)
Perizzite-with no walls (taking away what has no boundaries; he is a strong tower not a countryside where bone is undefended)
Canaanite-peddler from root of vanquished and humiliated (you are Gods possession and not for sale to anyone at any price)
Hivites-indigenous dweller from the root of Eve the mother of all living in the fall (delivered from the carnal earthly living to living in Gods heavenly life)
Jebusite-loathed and tread under foot as a enemy also interesting that it is the name of the city that would one day be Jerusalem (where sin abounded grace will more abound you will be head and not the tail..the unclean is changed to priest and king..the poor is made rich..the orphan is made His child)
It is YHWH who cuts these things off (destroyed them). We can spend years fighting the battles to destroy what YHWH says is his battle; because we know they should be defeated.
If you go to posses the land with out your trust being to stand still and see the battle won by Him; then as Israel went across (when they felt guilt for not trusting Him) though he was not with them because of their unbelief; you also will be routed by the enemy.
All of these things we have brought forward are the things which have power over (are the gods of) the natural man as such they order their lives by that power over them. YHWH tells us not to order our living by their ways of men's approval, actions determined by fear of results, conducting yourself in any way we see fit, making ourselves merchandise to be sold in order to obtain, giving place in our heart to carnal things, or by any way that is devised of fallen men.
It will be as we desire only His life in us and trust Him to be our life that He is our bread..He is our water. His life in us has the results of health and vitality and all things pertaining to life.
