Genesis 2:1-4
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the
host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and
he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God
blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested
from all his work which God created and made. These are the generations of the
heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God
made the earth and the heavens,
Exodus 20:8-11
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou
labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy
God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is
within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and
all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the
sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exodus 31:14-17 KJV
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto
you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death : for whosoever
doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six
days may work be done ; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the
LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to
death . Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the
sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign
between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD
madeheaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested , and was refreshed .
Leviticus 19: 1-3
And the LORD spake
unto Moses, saying, Speak unto all the
congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy:
for I the LORD your God [am] holy. Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his
father, and keep my sabbaths: I [am] the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19:30
Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am
the LORD.
Leviticus 26:2-4
Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am
the Lord. If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and
the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their
fruit.
Numbers Chapter 28: 2-5
And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye
shall do no servile work. Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a
new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks [be out], ye shall have an
holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: But ye shall offer the burnt
offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven
lambs of the first year; And their meat
offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, two
tenth deals unto one ram,
Deuteronomy 5:14-15
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord
thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter,
nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any
of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant
and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. And remember that thou wast a servant in the
land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a
mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded
thee to keep the sabbath day.
If we ask most people “who are you” we will hear a list of
accomplishment and works and things produced or the same that they desire to do.
Can we gain understanding from these facts about who a person is? Yes but understanding of them will be based
on our perception of why they desire or have done those things and not found in
the things themselves.
So consider that Yeshua said He had come that we might have
life and life more abundant; He also said that this is life that they can know
you(speaking of the Father).
With these things in mind now consider those souls who cry
out Lord Lord we cast out devils and healed the sick in your name. It is
obvious by His reply that these souls had thought that they had done what the
Master had desired but obedience does not bring life; it is life that brings obedience. If one asked Cain He would have said he was obedient
but his sacrifice was not accepted. Saul even tried to say he had disobeyed
YHWH’s command to kill the livestock of the enemy in order to honor YHWH with
sacrifice. These three souls would have claimed obedience by what they had done
and how they had done it but their obedience was a figment of the imaginations
of a wicked mind seeking its own will.
The word of YHWH is not a book about what is right and wrong
or good and evil that thinking comes from the death of the knowledge of good
and evil within the self. It is a book which describes life. YHWH is life; not
merely possessing life or dispensing the same. When we bring death on ourself
it is because we separate from YHWH in preference of the self and when He gives
us life He shares with us Himself making us one.
I once saw a movie where a man had lost His memory. He
became a stranger to those who had loved Him, of no use to His former employer,
could no longer remember how to make His way through the city, He had to learn
to read and walk, and though He had forgotten all these things he did know that
He should know. This is a pretty good comparison to fallen man. He once knew
YHWH because they shared the same breath but due to a choice to be a self he
has forgotten how to be alive, but within him he knows he should know.
The scripture from beginning to end is a description of YHWH’s
life, a conviction to become one with it, as it has been said it divides
between the soul and spirit, showing us what is of men and what is of YHWH. It
describes His life and as such it is also a description of the life He is
making in you.
So Moses is Given by YHWH the generations of the heaven and
the earth. Moses has been shown and has taught to us that Elohim created all
things by the sound of His voice but with man he breathed into him; sharing His
breath in him.
Both Moses and those he was speaking to would have
understood a garden is not a field of plants but a temple, a house for a God.
So it was YHWH built a house and planted it with everything His family would
need. He moved His son and daughter in His house that they could fellowship,
like a proud father He set His creation in His son’s dominion.
Adam was not an afterthought to creation but its very
purpose. Any earthly Father would prepare a place for his as yet unborn son, we
would prepare a bed, clothing, any necessary items that His child might need.
All of these things though owned by the father belong in the fathers mind to
His son. In this same way YHWH prepared for Adam and all that would come from
His progeny.
So we can see that when the scripture tells us that YHWH
finished all His work He rested on the seventh day and declared it holy; the
why He created it in the first place was for His unborn son. When He says it is
finished all that Adam would need was finished. The seventh day comes after
Adam is created just as when Yeshua said it is finished, signifying He had done
everything necessary for the redemption of Man, He died and then came the Sabbath(of
Passover).
The seventh day is also the last day; it does not begin
again at one but continues for eternity. As the life that was breathed into
Adam, which he gave up, was eternal; so is the life found in the Sabbath of
Yeshuas burial for the life that came from that Sabbath is also eternal.
We are to live in a sabbath without end, to continue in His
rest, living in His household, in His temple which is us, in His life that is
our life as we are one, for He is our parents, we have been redeemed from the
bondage and death of the self and men so let us remain in His rest and all that
He has He makes ours with Him.
Mark 2: 27-28
And he said unto
them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the
Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath
